Garonga Safari Camp
With a cinematic backdrop provided by the Drakensburg Mountains, Garonga Safari Camp makes your blood rush with a sense of wilderness. Small but perfectly formed, this chic but unpretentious retreat is located in South Africa’s 50,000-acre Greater Makalali Private Game Reserve. There are six tents in addition to the new Camp Little Garonga, consisting of three suites (six beds) with a private lounge area. Animals are plentiful, which guests can experience with two safari activities daily. It feels like your private African bush home – a place where you can relax in your enormous Tent, or if you’ve taken the Hambleden Suite, sleep by your pool. Each deck has a hammock; the main pool has two tiers, allowing everyone to find a place of solitude. Help yourself to drinks (fully Complimentary except for Champagnes and special wines), enjoy a treehouse picnic or relaxing massage in a thatched sala.
